Well tourist season is coming to an end here. School is arround the cornor. This means for me life is going to slow down to the point where i can focus on my art work again.

Although i do enjoy the tourists and working almost 24/7 (yes i am kidding) I am excited to get back to my art work.

Finally got Ubuntu to work on my new laptop so once again i can go full open source. It was kinda weird running windows again. I am not going to get into the whole which is better debate, but i will state Ubuntu is more for me than windows is.

However the draw back is still there that my tablet will not work in ubuntu so i figure i will keep windows so i can still use the tablet. Hopefully some day they will get my tablet working in linux it would be nice.

I got back into guild wars. I play Prophices, Factions and Night Falls. If any of you play Guild Wars and want to group up some time drop me a line and we can run around.

Yikes a new year

Hello all

Well i have not updated this thing in forever. I have been swamped with my real life. I am trying to find the time to create some artwork, but every time i sit down it seems i have to run off. Thus is life.

I hope every one had a great new year and a very merry Christmas. The holidays were great for my children and I.

I am hoping to get back into my art and back into Gimping. I do miss it greatly and hope i can find some time to post some work here.

Gimp Brushs

Hello all.

Well the new gimp is out and boy is it awesome. So many new features and so many old features being revamped.

By now any fan of the gimp has downloaded and used ver 2.4. If you haven't i suggest getting it ASAP. It is fantastic!

To me one of the biggest new features that works and works nicely is the ability to load ABR brush packs directly into your brushes folder and use them. In fact you can even rescale them (as well as default gbr brushes) dynamically. This is a great feature and one i have been waiting for in Gimp for some time.

The sad part of this is the fact i will no longer be converting brushes. There really is no need to. If by some weird chance the ABR file does not work than maybe i will convert it, but i have tested over 150 ABR set so far and every single one has worked.

By December 1st all the set i have converted will be removed. I am going to make a journal post containing all the authors and brush set information so you can go about downloading the ABR files.

I would like to start this journal by saying thank you to every one who has :+fav:'d or add me to their watch list. I know this is kinda lame but i just do not have the time to thank each of you. I am sorry!

I am finding life as a single father of two to be very time consuming. It is rewarding as ever but i just do not have the time I used to have. I am hopping to work every thing out to where i can do more art work but in my life family is always first.

It also doesn't help that i got season One of Heroes on DVD for my birthday. I am trying to watch them all but progressing slowly. G4 had a marathon this weekend and i got to catch a few shows i missed during the first run.

I have also gotten back into Mudding. If you do not know what a mud is well than you should google it... they are a hoot. Currently i am just messing around with code and area building for fun. My other adiction CODING...it always get me.

I am working more with Gimp and Apop in my free time. I am hoping to write up a few tutorials for some stuff i am doing.

So once again thank you for your support
